P Dz Veen, Amersfoort (The Netherlands), 1917, hb no d/w, 1st edition, gilt-stamped esoteric/zodiacal motif to front board, original navy blue cloth boards, corners and head and foot of spine a little bumped and worn, the gilt decoration is a little dulled, there is some marking to the boards, there is a preliminary horoscope page located before the frontispiece each side of which has six examples of famous horoscopes (including Blavatsky, Olcott, Besant, Steiner. as well as Lincoln, Van Gogh, Goethe, and Kaiser Wilhelm II.), there is a small, neat presentation inscription on the reverse of the frontispiece plate, the pages are tanned with age but are clean with the exception of The Raphael's Ephemeris at the rear which has extensive period pencil notes and calculations from a previous owner, the text includes horoscopes relating to RMS Titanic, a good secure binding, a Very Good copy for it's age of an uncommon book [Box 62] [B5583]
