Waterhouse was one of the UK's most prolific comedy-writers, novelists and screenwriters of the 60's through to the 90's and beyond.
Amongst his screenwriting credits are Whistle Down the Wind and the Hitchcock movie Torn Curtain With his writing partner Willis Hall he was responsible for the television series The Frost Report, That Was The Week That Was, Worzel Gummidge and many others.
His novel Billy Liar brought him international fame follwing the John Schlessinger movie.
Signed copies of his works are remarkably scarce.
A VG copy of this novel, well-read with bumping to the usual places, the dustjacket is creased in places but unclipped.
