Collated complete.This copy missing the limited edition, extra duplicate plate of 'He Hurried Away in Long Strides', loosely inserted.Rackham's characteristic whimsy yet eerie style is apparent throughout, in both the watercolour wash plates and intricate linework engravings.Includes the tales, 'Snow-White and Rose-Red', 'The Old Woman in the Wood' and 'The Three Feathers'. Bound in the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Scattered marking to both boards. The odd stain to rear board. Bumping to extremities, notably at both joints, lower rear corner and tail of spine. Fraying to cloth at both top joints. Light previous ownership stamp to front free. Hinges cracked at boards from straining. Offsetting to end papers. Tide marks to front paste down and free end paper at hinge. Internally, pages remain firmly bound with the occasional strain. Pages clean and bright. Light cockling, with scattered staining from water damage appearing throughout. Pages 191-195 are the worst affected. Age toning to untrimmed edges. Prominent closed tear to corner of page 182. Bookmarking ribbon loosely inserted. Text is unhindered. Good
