Sm 4to 2 volume hardcover set in slipcase. Limited edition of 1,000 copies, 950 of which were for sale. Volume 1 is signed on half title page and inscribed on front free endpaper. Inscription reads as follows: ""For Floyd Starr with the high respect & warm affection of his friend Paul, Roswell 1954"". Research shows that Floyd Starr may be the uncle of one of Horgan's friends from the New Mexico Military Institute. Brown cloth over boards with gilt titling on spine and gilt top edges. The inside of the books features color illustrations signed by Horgan. The condition of vol 1 is VG+ (tight binding, clean textblock, very minimal shelfwear, bright illustrations). 447pp including appendix. The condition of vol 2 is VG+ (tight binding, clean textblock, very minimal shelfwear, bright illustrations). 1,019pp including appendix. The slipcase is teal and features the title, author, volume titles, and publisher affixed to front board. The condition of the slipcase is Good+ (sturdy, title clearly legible, inside sturdy and clean, sunned, bumped on all four corners, inside cardboard coming apart at head, two small closed tears on tail, one small closed tear on head, smudges on affixed page).
