SIGNED and INSCRIBED by author both on clipped FFEP, and partially on flypaper behind the FFEP 'For Stathis Orphanos, cheers!' Stathis Orphanos was a photographer noted for his portraits of writers, including Updike.
He and his partner, Ralph Sylvester also operated the Los Angeles fine-press publishing company 'Sylvester & Orphanos,' which published Updike's book *Impressions* along with other projects to which Updike contributed.

As noted, the FFEP is clipped, extremities of covers very lightly toned, otherwise clean and crisp.
