An Enormous Find! Three library hardcover bound archives of The Brooklyn Daily Eagle- (4 O'Clock Edition). Each volume contains one month- Feb. 1932, Dec. 1939, and April 1945. The original newspaper leaves themselves are in remarkable condition- the overwhelming majority are flat and entirely uncreased-just a remnant of the center fold. Age darkened and somewhat fragile, the first ten or so leaves in each volume are detached from the binding and have chipping and tears, but the rest (I would guess each volume contains 100+ to 200+ leaves) are seemingly pristine. A rare collection of Brooklyn, world, and newspaper history. Sunday COLOR comics supplement included for each Sunday paper- even back in 1932. These are oversized volumes- measuring 23""x17"", and have a collective weight of nearly 50 pounds. Special shipping and additional cost will be necessary.
