Black cloth hard cover with red titles on spine, and no cover wear. Inside front cover is an inscription to Sasha and David from Ted (Hughes) dated 25th March 1998 - 'from our days feasting and sometimes fishing among the mangroves, with my best wishes always'; xi, 264 pages; and further signature on preliminary title page - 'translated by Ted Hughes'. Book includes a newspaper clipping for Hughes' Times obituary, and a very powerful but anonymous love note! Clipped dust jacket with closed tear at upper front edge, but otherwise only very minor edge wear. Published in 1997 this signed 1st edition is in fine condition with good to very good dust jacket.
