Very good first edition book in very good dust jacket.
Signed by the author on the half-title page.
Book spine is sunned; fore-edge corners, head and tail of spine and bottom edges of boards show signs of rubbing.
Back boards are lightly stained and have tiny flecks of white speckles; similar specks on front of boards as well as a narrow 1 3/4" scratch along the the left crease.
Previous owner inscription and signature in pencil on front-free end-paper.
Front of jacket colors are vibrant; chips and loss at top and bottom of jacket spine; top front edge of jacket has a 3/8" closed tear with adjacent diagonal creases and three smaller closed tears along the same edge.
Fore-edges are rubbed as are all four fore-edge corners as well as chipped.
Jacket generally shows shelf-wear soil.
