Jacket differs from the one recorded by them, having "this novel has not appeared in any periodical" to spine (which Stokes has), and a different rear flap and panel [Lechowick 91ff]. Jacket not price clipped ($2.00) chipped and soiled, with old reinforcements to verso. Gilt titles faded. Foxing to textblock edges, and to first few leaves. Xmas 1928 inscription. Binding is sound. 7.75 x 5.2 inches.
