Black and white illustrated boards, gray and white illustrated endpapers. Essays by Dr. Jill Tarter and Lyle Rexer. Black and white plates of microscopic photography, that, according to Rexer, ""have no antecedents. These carbon views, suggesting microscopic cellular life and visions of the heavens, as well as other horizon events without description, come into being as the negatives are made."" Laid-in is an exhibition postcard for Lindsay's Upstream: Fly Fishing in the American West from the Boise Art Museum, with a personal, handwritten note from Lindsay to Fryer. Slight scuffing to back board, else fine. No jacket. John Fryer was the owner of the 140-year-old Sax and Fryer, legendary bookstore, quasi-museum and Fryer's photography studio.
