A.S. Barnes & Co., New York. 1952. 167 pages. First edition, first printing. Per my findings, this is the earliest published book dedicated to the sport of lacrosse that was issued with a DJ. And while there may have been an older lacrosse book out there that was issued with a DJ, this is the oldest (1952) DJ I can find on the open market. Binding and hinges are strong. Orange cloth is bright and clean. Corner tips gently pushed. Endpapers show tanning in gutters. Original rare DJ with price-clipped flap. Light soiling to DJ and flap folds. Shallow chipping at foot and crown and corner folds. Uncommon in DJ. A vintage lacrosse classic by HOF coach and Johns Hopkins legend, Kelso Morrill.
