Gregory, Jackson : Ru the Conqueror. New York : Charles Scribner's Sons, 1933. First edition/First impression (""A"" and logo to CP). Duodecimo size (12mo), 7.65""/19.2cm h. Bound in publisher's tan cloth, red lettering debossed, boldly, to spine and front board. Red topstain, untrimmed fore-edge. Matte color pictorial dj. Plain white endpapers. [I-Xii] prelim material, 1-289 text, [290-292] blank. Condition notes: quite a nice copy: binding square, with excellent color retention; spine ends rolled, three corners bumped, nick to the rear tail board edge. Unclipped DJ, in mylar, shows several small tears and chips, esp at folds. Interior tanned but unmarked. Uncredited DJ art perhaps would've raised an eyebrow of a parent purchasing this book for a youth back in 1933. We personally inspect every book we offer.
