First UK edition. Originally published in the US by Viking in 1962. Slight edge wear to the boards only. Light browning to the page edges and the front endpapers with a small black spot to the bottom right corner of the rear pastedown but the pages have only very slight browning and are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has a one inch closed tear at the top right corner of the front panel which has been repaired with tape to the reverse, a half inch closed tear at the top right corner of the rear panel and four other small nicks around the edges. There is a little chipping at the top of the spine and a little surface creasing and discolouration to the front and rear panels. First printing.
