The Hamlet was originally written as a standalone novel incorporating revised versions of several short stories previously published under different names. It ended up being book one in a trilogy of novels chronicling the Snopes family. This first novel in the first state jacket is the most scarce of the trilogy. Book VG with some toning to title on spine. Spine ends slightly scuffed and panel with some rubbing. Bold top stain, sharp corners, taut binding and free of writing within. VG jacket not restored with brilliant coloring throughout. Original published price of $2.50 intact. Slight wear to spine ends and a bit of foxing and soiling. Some tape residue to verso from pervious brodart not affecting the cover at all. An nice copy.
