Set in the Oregon Territory during the mid-1850s, this Western novel served as the basis for the 1946 Jacques Tourneur film starring Dana Andrews, Susan Hayward, and Brian Donlevy. Small octavo. Original light brown cloth binding, with purple stamping. Some mild wear to the dust jacket, with a pair of paper reinforcements to the verso; else very good or better.
