Wintersteller and Diemberger made the first ascent (along with M. Schmuck and H. Buhl). Saeed was the liaison officer for the expedition (climbed to Camp 2). Original blue cloth with gilt lettering spine. The book has clean covers, no fading, bump to lower outside rear corner, solid binding, no foxing, old owner stamp and name crossed-out on blank FFEP otherwise no previous owner marks or writing on any pages other than the aforementioned signatures. The original dust jacket is clean, has no tears, no loss, original printed price present on front flap corner. The book measures 282mm tall x 218mm, and has 448 pages, 153 b/w & 58 color photos, 33 maps & drawings, index.
