Description

Affixed to the front end paper is a label inscribed, ""To Gerry de la Ree with best wishes -- Poul Anderson"". (Gerry de la Ree is famed as an early publisher and collector of science fiction literature, and patron of science fiction authors. Per ISFDB, an interview with Mr. de la Ree in the March 1974 issue of the NYU Science Fiction Society's journal titled him ""King of the Collectors"".) This book is in near fine condition, marred only by a little spine lean, plus a light bump on base of its spine. Its binding is sound, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unworn and -- other than the affixed signature -- unmarked. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in near fine condition: bright, whole, and unmarked, with a trace of wear on spine ends but otherwise unworn. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description. (Simply noted: I acquired this book in Heritage Auctions' sale of ""The Almington collection"".)
