Description

First edition. Printed in English. Number 118 of 350 copies, signed by the Polish, Nobel Prize-winner Czeslaw Milosz at the title page. A superb example of Rolando Pieraccini's ""Contemporary Poets in Signed Limited Editions"" series issued in the 1980's & 90's by his Finnish publishing company, Eurographica. This selection of poems was chosen by Milosw and (editor) Pieraccini themselves and therefore represents more than a straightforward reprinting of an earlier selection. This particular copy is a unique example of the book having been signed by both - Milosw at the title page and Pieraccini at the colophon to the rear. The book was printed in Italy by Tipografia Nobili, (established in Pesaro 1823), on special Michelangelo Paper made at the Magnani Paper Mills in Pescia. In plain white, stiff card wrappers and enclosed in a grey dustwrapper with deckled top-edge, black titles and large folds. 120 pages, untrimmed at the edges, and at the rear of the book is a reproduction of the manuscript of one of the poems in the book. This copy in Very Fine condition having been stored carefully since printing and never read. A superior copy of this rare book.
