The stories include two about Pluto the Dog, who is the only Disney character that appears in the book. Grumpy Pluto guards his dog house against an invasion of baby chicks and a fluffy kitten, but Pluto learns to love his little visitors. However two of the stories feature bats, and there is one terrific picture showing bats hanging about in an old mill, and another depicts an old owl - also in the mill . these pictures might frighten some toddlers .
