Bryant was one of a handful of American journalists present during the October revolution, who reported on unfolding events alongside her husband John Reed whose coverage was published as Ten Days that Shook the World.
Where Reed's coverage centered the political, Bryant's coverage centered human interest and individual character studies.
Their story was portrayed in Warren Beatty's 1981 film Reds.
