Description
Full leather. A very few very light pencil markings. Spine with raised bands and lettered in gold. Contemporary covers; spine has been professionally and sympathetically rebacked (some time ago). Marbled endpapers. Front endpaper has a scar where a bookplate has been removed. Folding frontispiece is slightly dust marked and spotted. Early and late leaves with some light spotting. Overall clean text and plates for age. Please ask for more photos if required. Includes a list of subscribers, among whom is listed Sir Isaac Newton, President of the Royal Society, who lived in nearby Woolsthorpe Manor.
