Pair of albumen photographs measuring 2-15/16"" x 3-1/16"" each, on original publisher's yellow card mount measuring 3-3/8"" x 6-7/8"" with series title, image title, photographer's name and publisher's name all printed in the margins on mount recto, and with an extensive list of the various series of ""Photographic Illustrations of the Pacific Coast"" as photographed by Eadweard Muybridge and published by Bradley & Rulofson. The present stereoview is No. 754 from Muybridge's ""Central Pacific Railroad"" series, and is an outdoor portrait of five Shoshone Indians all wrapped in blankets, the central figure with bow and arrow pointed straight at the camera; railroad boxcars can be seen in the background; photographs with very minor toning; mount verso with minor fading along edges but virtually no wear to either mount or photographs. The condition of the stereograph is EXCELLENT (9/10). Only one copy located on OCLC/WorldCat (California Historical Society).
