Description
First UK edition from 1955. Contains two novels - Red Lights and The Watchmaker of Everton - both of which are translated by Norman Denny. Blue boards have light bumping and discolouration to edges, corners and top and bottom of the spine. Two inch patch of discolouration to bottom right corner of the front panel where there is a piece missing from the jacket. Page edges are browned with dark spotting to the top edges. Prize label on front pastedown. The pages are a little browned but are otherwise unmarked. Jacket has two inch square piece missing from bottom right corner of front panel and three quarters of the front flap is also missing from the same tear. There is chipping and edge wear with a little loss at the base of the spine. The rear panel of the jacket is discoloured but what remains of the front panel has nice bright colouring.
