Small 8vo., 204pp. plus 4 pages of ads in rear. Sharp First U.K. and first hardcover edition of this story of the authorities chasing Sumuru in the Caribbean. It was originally published in the U.S. as a paperback edition titled, ""The Fire Goddess"". Bound in red cloth with spine lettering in black. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear save some gentle bumping to spine ends. A hint of toning to board edges but barely and not page toning to speak of. or toning. Attractive, and quite scarce clipped dust-jacket, (9/6 price on rear flap), has chips at the spine ends and tips, a few closed edge-wears and soiling to the rear panel. Not perfect but still fresh and bright and very tough to find in any condition. A solid collectable copy.
