. I have had this book for some time and some of you will realize that sometimes, one simply cannot get a fix on edition and value. This I believe is one of those cases. Please find: Typhoon and Other Stories by Joseph Conrad. The other stories included in this book are: Amy Foster , Falk: A Reminiscence & To-Morrow . I believe from my research that this is a rebound copy of the First Edition and possibly the First Printing. This small hard cover book (5 x 7 ¼ inches, 304 pages) was published by William Heinemann of London dated 1903. Please see the photos of significant features that I believe attest to its status as First Edition. In rebinding the rear pages of publisher s adverts were left out but the copyright, however, confirms that of the First Edition (possibly First Printing?). The book is bound in dark brown cloth with gilt titles on the spine and the top edge is gilt. As I have no way of verifying the edition or printing, and am not really a specialist in this field, I am offering the book at a much-reduced price. Further insights or corrections to my suppositions are most welcome. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some slight rubbing wear to the hard covers and some bumping to the corners and spine tips. The endpapers are darkened doubtless from the acids of the binding glues. There are what appear to be staple holes in the upper left-hand quadrant of the early pages which penetrate to about page 5. Inside the book is unmarked and devoid of toning or foxing with a very occasional smudge of soiling. Both hinges are intact and although the book is cracked at the first blank page the binding still seems tight and sound.
