Eagle in the Sky, Wilbur Smith, Hardback, 1/1, Heinemann, 1974 A first edition, first impression of Wilbur Smith's eighth novel. A page turner of a plot involving fighter jets, serious war injuries, love and loss across South Africa and Jerusalem. The binding is tight with a slight lean, the blue boards slightly marked. Gilt lettering is clear and bright. The endpapers and pages are clean without tears, marks or inscriptions save an owner's name to the first free endpaper. Page edges are toned in line with age. The unclipped jacket has retained its colouring well. Nibbling to the top and bottom of the spine and some rubbing to the creases. All considered a very good copy.
