Percy Wyndham Lewis (1882-1957), an artist as well as an author, is known as the developer of ""Vorticism"" (so named by Ezra Pound), a style of geometric abstraction. He would eventually turn more and more to writing, and ""is now regarded as a major British artist and writer of the twentieth century"" (n.b., quote from Wiki). With original opaque acetate publisher's jacket. ___CONDITION: Volume near fine, with clean boards, straight corners without rubbing, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; some wear to the bottom edge of the front board, else fine.
